Free thriller game

Banland is a free thriller experience for Roblox created by Mzh3000. The only way to describe Banland so that it has any kind of depth is to liken it to a hall of remembrance of sorts. This game is one of the older experiences on Roblox having been created in 2010. It also seems to be forgotten as it hasn’t had an update since 2016.

Banland is an experience without many active game mechanics or anything much to do. If this is your type of experience, Roblox has numerous alternatives. However, if you’re looking for something a little more immersive and exciting, Roblox is home to countless other games that should impress. For instance, If you like mazes and running from creepy characters, try Slender Man Maze. If you prefer PvP combat games, try Mortal Kombat

Dark and desolate

The creator describes Banland as the final home of ‘the souls of lost creators that made joy, and the torture place of hackers.’ They end the description off with ‘Abandon all hope ye who enter here.’ While this is a really descriptive and evocative introduction, it hardly rings true.

The game is incredibly poorly lit and desolate in its decoration or general environment. Save for a few out-of-place structures and prison boxes containing the likenesses of players that have presumably been banned, there is nothing to see, do, or interact with.

Death around every corner

Death is an inevitability in such a dimly lit environment. Especially if you consider that the entire playing field is suspended over a void. What’s more, the playing field is comprised of a few jagged islands, the edges of which are incredibly difficult to differentiate from the void. As such, you’ll likely fall into the void every few steps. If you manage to get far enough, there’s also a lava pool that will cause instant demise.

The game that time forgot

Every now and again, you’ll come across a game that may have had potential but that fizzled out before it could properly ignite due to developer negligence or pure disinterest on the part of the player base. Banland is one of those games.

Not only is the premise unclear in that you never find out which game from whence they came, but the idea that the only attractions in this game are lifeless effigies of past players also doesn’t seem like much of an attention draw. At the end of the day, Banland is a lifeless experience that not even the developer has any devotion to anymore.

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.

Flag any particular issues you may encounter and Softonic will address those concerns as soon as possible.
